Swakopmund is a seaside resort town with a small German village feel to it.  The Namib Desert around the town is the number one draw card offering countless exhilarating activities such as sand boarding, quad biking, hot air ballooing, shark fishing etc.  For the more sedentary there are restaurants, cafes, art galleries, museums, a snake park and aquarium.

NOTE:
Africa does not run like clockwork; therefore please do not expect the streamlined travel arrangements associated with some other continents. There will be times when you will need to be patient and philosophical about your travels and have a sense of humour.
